Be Natural

Be Natural

You are tired, and that tiredness runs in the marrow of your bones. We have schedules that divide up our time in a way that the skies above our head don’t recognise. This is how it is, we wake because of alarms not because of restfulness; we take one mind and try to do five things at a time. This is an unnatural way to live so we look for respite.

Outside the chaos of this old hospital there is a nature reserve, it is pretty, it is pretty in a gentle sort of way, mostly trees and dirt paths. From the nature reserve you can see Aldi and you can hear cars, and you are hit with the sudden awareness that grass grows wherever we don’t step.

We spend too long looking for peace, looking for annual holidays, looking for something to take away the difficulty of every day living. Truth is we don’t need to look for peace because like the grass it is everywhere. What we need is to step away & change the messy lives we have made. To become in sync with the world is to find peace.
